MY PEOPLE'S MARKET SUMMER 2022 INTERVIEWS

 We were so fortunate to be able to go visit the summer 2022 @mypeoplesmarket and talk to so many wonderful business owners and feature their favorite products on our story (look at our video for more info)! These were just a few of the many amazing BIPOC owned businesses at the market! Watch our highlight video to see these business owners' favorite products and shop using the links we posted! If you were unable to go physically to the market, this is a wonderful "virtual" way to shop from these amazing BIPOC owned businesses!  

FINALS PEER REVIEW

In January 2022, we launched essay peer review sessions for students needing help editing their finals/midterms lab reports, essays, or research papers! All proceeds will went towards helping support BIPOC families in our community.

MY PEOPLE'S MARKET SUMMER VISIT

In August 2021, we visited the summer BIPOC My People's Market, and got to visit the amazing BIPOC-owned businesses at the My People's Market. We finally got to meet some of the businesses we have previously featured and interviewed, in-person! We also got to meet some new businesses (that you might learn more about soon 👀)!

SUMMER VIRTUAL SESSIONS

In the summer of 2021, we conducted 8 weekly STEM focused virtual courses, with a session length ranging from 5-8 weeks long.

BOTTLE DEPOSIT

In May 2021, we were finally able to get these bottles and cans recycled after our bottle drive! In total, we raised about 50 dollars!! Thank you so much to everyone who helped out and donated! And a huge thank you to Felton and Mary's for these amazing t-shirts! If you want one of these awesome shirts check out Felton & Mary's Artisan Foods!

OUR PODCAST

Since March 2021, we have been posting weekly episodes on our podcast, PDX Business Spotlight, in which we interview local BIPOC owned business owners and share their stories. In an attempt to increase recognition and boost awareness of the beautiful BIPOC business community in Portland, we have shared more than 35 BIPOC business stories within the 4 seasons published so far. VIRTUAL SESSIONS

In February 2021, we conducted 4 new virtual session weekly courses. Additionally, we held personalized online tutoring and homework help for students in grades 1-8.

CHRISTMAS DONATION

After conducting workshops for months, we went over to Costco to buy canned food items for underprivileged families. We are so thankful to all the parents that considered enrolling students and donating to our cause. Our team was proud to be able to provide a good Christmas meal to the families!  

WINTER BREAK CAMP

In December 2020, we held a 2-week long virtual winter break camp with holiday themed lessons, projects, and games!

BOTTLE & FOOD DRIVE

In November 2020-March 2021, we conducted a bottle and food drive to raise money for donations. All proceeds were donated in the form of non-perishable food items for underprivileged BIPOC families via Self Enhancement.

VIRTUAL SESSIONS

In October 2020, we offered 5 different virtual sessions, each conducted weekly by our team.
